Stefan Hussong
Born in Köllerbach an der Saar, Germany, is First Prize winner of the 1983 International Hugo Herrmann and the 1987 International Gaudeamus Interpreters Competition for contemporary music. In 1999, he was awarded the Echo Classic Prize of the German Phonoacademy in the category Best Performer. That same year his Solo-CD for Denon with works by John Cage won the Best Record Award of the year. Hussong has premiered more than 150 works dedicated to him and he has recorded more than 40 CD`s, some of which have won several prizes.Stefan Hussong has appeared in concert throughout Europe, in the United States, Russia and in Asia. He has appeared at festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, the Beethoven-Haus Bonn, Ultraschall Berlin, Suntory-festival Tokyo, Leipzig New Music, Munich Biennale, Triennale Cologne, Brussels, Wien-Modern, Moscow Bajanfestival, Warszaw-Autumn, Rheingau, Archipel Geneva, Festival Nancy, France, Takefu and Akiyoshidai in Japan and “Meet the Moderns” in San Francisco. As a soloist, he has appeared with, among others, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Berliner Phil. Orchestra, Vienna Philharmonic, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Modern, Klangforum Wien, Rundfunk Symphonieorchester Saarbruecken, the Tokyo Harmonia Chamber Orchestra, Seoul Phiharmonic, National Taiwan Symphony, Tokyo Sinfonietta, and Tokyo Shin Nippon Philharmonic Orchestra. He has closely collaborated with composers such as S.Gubaidulina, K. Harada, A. Hölszky, T. Ichiyanagi, T. Hosokawa, U. Rojko and K. Huber etc. who have dedicated more than 150 works to him. Mr. Hussong has recorded for Denon, EMI, Wergo, Thorofon, Mode-records, Col Legno, Koch-Schwann, Ars Musici ranging from the Baroque to the contemporary works, Stefan Hussong studied with Eugen Tschanun, Hugo Noth, Joseph Macerollo and Mayumi Miyata at the Universities of Trossingen, Toronto and Tokyo (Geijutsu Daigaku). He is a recipient of scholarships from the D.A.A.D. Foundation, the "German Scholarship Foundation", Academy Solitude Stuttgart and the Art Foundation of Baden-Wuerttemberg. In 1989 he served as visiting professor at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. Today he is a professor for accordion and chamber music at the Würzburg University of music and since 1993 has been a Professor at the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum Salzburg.
Iñaki Alberdi
studied under Carlos Iturralde, and completed his training under Friedrich Lips and Matti Rantanen at the International Centre for Accordion Studies, the Gnessin Institute in Moscow, and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. He was awarded first prizes at the Coupe Mondiale (Colmar, 1994), the International Accordionist and Bayanist Competition (Moscow, 1995) and the Music Competition for Youth (Valladolid, 1996). Alberdi has collaborated closely with different current composers, and premiered work by Sofia Gubaidulina, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Luis de Pablo, Joan Guinjoan, Gabriel Erkoreka, Ramon Lazkano, Jesús Torres, Agustín Charles and José María Sánchez-Verdú. He was recently nominated for the Gramophon Editor’s Choice Award for his monographic record on Sofia Gubaidulina. The accordionist has recorded for Stradivarius, Kairos, Verso, Et’Cetera, and the National Spanish Orchestra label. He has performed in numerous concert halls and appeared at a wide variety of festivals, including the Teatro La Fenice, the Arsenal Concert Hall (Metz), the Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), the San Sebastián Music Fortnight, the Royal Academy of Music, the St. Petersburg Hermitage, the Hamburger Ostertöne, the Palacio Euskalduna, the Stuttgart Staatsoper, the Granada Music and Dance Festival, the Venice Biennial, the Kursaal in San Sebastián, the Mostly Modern Series in Dublin and the St. Petersburg Philharmonia. Iñaki Alberdi is a frequent guest performer with ensembles such as the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Tampere Chamber, the National Spanish Orchestra, the City of Granada Orchestra, the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, the Galicia Philharmonic, the Orchestra of the Region of Madrid, the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Andorra National Chamber Orchestra, the Magnitogorsk Symphony Orchestra, the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, and the Russian Ministry of Culture Orchestra. Among other conductors, he has performed under Juanjo Mena, Josep Pons, Pablo González, Vasily Petrenko, Adrian Leaper, Pedro Halffter, Alexei Artemiev, Yoav Talmi, Mélanie Thiébaut, Nacho de Paz and José Ramón Encinar. As a chamber music performer, he has worked with BCN 216, Ostots, Proyecto Guerrero, Taima-Granada, the Trío Arbós, the Kammerensemble Neue Musik (Berlin), VOX 21, the Ensemble Instrumental (Granada), the Ensemble Residencias (at the Centre for the Dissemination of Contemporary Music), the KEA Vocal Group, and Neue Vocalsolisten. In Sofia Gubaidulina’s words, “Iñaki Alberdi has great talent, and the complete dedication of an artist to his music. His amazing understanding of the depth of form, together with his remarkable temperament, made the strongest and most extraordinary impression on me”.
Mirjana Petercol
was born in Poreč, where she also attended music school (accordion professor Dekleva-Radakovic). After finishing the Secundary Music School in Pula - at the piano and accordion department, she continued her studies at the music academy in Hannover (class Prof. Elsbeth Moser). There she graduetes in postgraduate study level "Künstlerische Ausbildung" and the soloist level „Konzertreife“. The desire to continue her education leads Petercol to the Foklwang Universität Essen where she studied medieval music (Master of Music Art) where she meets the instrument Gothic portativ on which she also plays concerts. Further education in the field of sacral music (organ and choir), elementary music pedagogy, and in the field of medicine for musicians (dyspokinesiopedy, AT, Jacobsen technique, Yoga and hypnosis mental technology) follow. Since 2017 Petercol has been studying in composer class of prof. Claus Kuhnel / Frankfurt. As a regular docent professor and Head of accordion department at the Music Academies (Wiesbaden, Kassel) and Kassel University (BRD) she has been educating since 1998 numerous accordionists. Petercol concerts on bayan, and holds masterclasses for accordion and of medicine for musicians across Europe.

Denis Modrušan
Conductor and pedagogue. He finished the studies of accordion and symphonic conducting at the Kiev National Music Academy "P. I. Čajkovski" in Ukraine. He teaches at the Music Academy in Pula as a docent. From the year 1997 to the year 2001 he is a regular conductor of the Orchestra of the Istrian National Theatre in Pula. He also conducted the Orchestra of the opera studies of Kiev State Conservatory, the Symphonic orchestra of the Ukraine Radio-Television, the Chamber Orchestra "Ars Viva" (Kiev, Ukraine), the Sheffield Symphonic Orchestra, the Croatian chamber orchestra from Zagreb, the Varaždin Chamber Orchestra, the Festival Chamber Orchestra from Rijeka, the Accordion Orchestra "Stanko Mihovilić" from Pula, the Accordion Orchestra of the Music Academy in Ljubljana, the IstriaPhonic Orchestra, and the Academy Symphony Orchestra from the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. From the year 2011 to the year 2014 he conducts the Academic Mixed Choir of the Music Academy in Pula. He is a longtime conductor of the Academic Accordion Orchestra of the Music Academy in Pula, with whom he has performed numerous concerts and won numerous awards. He is active in the socio-musical programs for children and youth in the Istria region with the aim of establishing the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Istria. He is a jury member at national and international competitions, and as a conductor and an lecturer in various masterclasses.
